Fire performance is always spectacular and always popular. Most fire artists perform with a range of fire props performing a variety of fire skills. The various fire skills are shown and described below. If you require a fire artist to perform a particular type of fire skill please let us know when enquiring, however most fire artists perform more than one skill.

Glow performers are a great alternative to fire performers, especially if the venue or event does not allow for fire performance. Please go here for our glow performers.

FIRE PERFORMERS INFORMATION

We are an entertainment agency who provides fire artists based in different parts of the UK.
All our fire artists are trained and fully insured. As professional fire acts our performers may cost a little more but they are experienced and can provide high quality and spectacular entertainment for your event. Please bear this in mind when enquiring.

We can provide a wide variety of fire performers including fire jugglers, fire eaters, fire breathers, and fire poi , fire dancers & club swingers. Most fire artists perform with a number of different fire props. We also provide various other performers who use fire/heat/sparks. Most popular among these are angle grinder acts. All our fire entertainers are trained professionals with full public liability insurance and can provide a risk assessment for their fire performance.

Fire performance can create a fabulous impact for the beginning or end of an event. We can provide solo fire acts for smaller events to a large number of fire artists to create a stunning visual spectacle for a major event.

We have a range of fire jugglers, fire eaters and other fire performers that can entertain at a range of themed events.
We can provide fire juggling jesters for a Medieval themed wedding, fire eating Vampires or Devils for a Halloween event, fire devilstick acts for a Victorian street fair and much more.

Fire acts can perform at a wide variety of events and in a range of venues, both outside and inside. However, although all our fire entertainers have public liability insurance, strict safety procedures do apply to the performance of fire manipulation. We will need to know various information before we book out one of our fire entertainers. You will be advised about want we need to know when you contact us

All our fire artistes have at least £2 million public liability insurance and are experienced in their art. You are therefore assured of a highly skilled performance that has that great WOW factor but is performed to a strict safety code.

FIRE JUGGLERS and FIRE JUGGLING

Fire juggling is a very impressive fire skill which can be performed in most areas (and can be performed in more limited areas than poi, staff or other swinging fire skills).
Fire juggling can be performed as a spectacular fire show or as meet & greet entertainment. It is also often performed as part of a fire finale for a juggling show.

Fire poi or club swinging and fire staff are brilliant fire skills that can be performed as part of a spectacular fire show or as part of freestyle or meet & greet entertainment. Fire swinging skills require more space to perform which may limit where they can be performed. Other fire skills can be performed in more restricted spaces. Fire poi is often also called fire dancing because of the movement associated with the fire manipulation skill.
If you specifically require fire poi, fire club swinging or fire staff skills to be part of the performance please indicate this at the time of enquiry because not all fire performers perform this particular fire skills.

FIRE EATERS or FIRE EATING

Fire eating is an amazing fire skill which is often combined with other fire skills in a fire performance. Fire eating can be performed as part of a fire show or as part of a circus, burlesque or juggling show as a spectacular finale. Fire eating can be performed in a restricted space and is therefore often best suited for indoor fire performance.

FIRE BREATHERS or FIRE BREATHING

Fire breathing is often confused with fire eating (see definition below). It is clear from the photos that fire breathing is a more spectacular fire skill but also more dangerous. It requires a significant amount of space to perform. It is always combined with other fire skills in a fire performance because a fire performer cannot fire breathe continually. Fire breathing is instead a very spectacular fnale to a fire show or juggling show.

BODY BURNING or FAKIR

Body burning is a very impressive fire skill which is always performed with other fire skills as part of a fire performance. Body burning along with fire eating are performed as part of a fakir show.

FIRE HULA HOOP

Fire hula hoop is a quite recent fire skill which adds another amazing element to a fire performance. Fire hula hoop is performed as part of a fire show or as freestyle fire entertainment. It can also be combined with other fire skills such as fire juggling simaltaneously.

ANGLE GRINDERS or ANGLE GRINDING

Angle grinding is a skill which is often performed by fire performers and can be combined with fire skills for a spectacular show. Often performed indoors angle grinding is popular in night clubs and as part of an amazing stage show.

FIRE SHOWS or FIRE PERFORMANCES

Fire shows are always spectacular and are often a great addition to or alternative to fireworks.
There are two types of fire show. A choreographed fire show and a freestyle fire show.
A choreographed fire show is one that is choreographed to specific music, usually includes a variety of fire skills and is performed for a more limited time than freestyle fire performances.
A freestyle fire show is not choreographed but can be performed to background music (which is supplied either by the artist or the client). Freestyle fire performances often last longer than choreographed shows and include a variety of fire skills

Ambient fire performance is great for meet & greet situations or as a visually spectacular background performance to an outdoor or indoor event. Fire skills such as fire juggling, fire poi and fire staff are the most common fire skills for this type of fire performance.

FIRE PERFORMANCE GLOSSARY

There is often confusion over what the various fire performance terms mean.
These are explained below so you are clear what fire performer you are booking.

FIRE JUGGLING
The throwing and catching of objects that have one or more parts of the object on fire. It includes fire club juggling (the most common form of fire juggling), fire ball juggling, fire devil stick, and fire diabolo.

FIRE SWINGING OR TWIRLING OR FIRE DANCING
The spinning and twirling of objects that have one or more parts of the object on fire. It includes fire club swinging, fire poi (poi are objects with a strap handle at one end, a weighted object at the other with a chain or rope connecting them), fire staff (as the name suggests a long wooden or metal pole with both ends on fire) These can be manipulated singly or as a double staff routine.

FIRE EATING
The extinguishing of fire sticks in the performers mouth. Can be performed singly or from an 'umbrella' or 'star' which has multiple fire sticks.

FIRE HULA HOOP
The spinning of a lit hula hoop around the arms, legs and body of the performer.

BODY BURNING
The passing of fire sticks over or on the performers body - often done as part of a fakir performance which includes fire eating

FIRE BREATHING
The blowing of flammable fuel from the mouth and igniting it with a fire stick to create a sheet or ball of flame (this is potentially the most dangerous type of fire performance and is only performed under the strictest conditions)

FIRE ROPE, CHAINS, SPRAY, CATHERINE WHEEL
The spinning or throwing of various fire props to create sheets or balls of flame or sparks in amazing arcs.
